A little About Me
Crystal MedScience
Research has shown that understanding disease mechanisms helps patients to maximize treatment. Likewise, knowing how the body normally works will motivate you to take good care of your health.
It’s one thing to receive professional medical advice, it’s another to be able to relate to the rationale behind them
You’re better engaged in your medical decisions when you understand the science behind why you feel how you feel than when you have no idea at all. Crystal MedScience wants to help you do just that: to help you understand the normal functioning (physiology) and abnormal or diseased functioning (pathophysiology) of the human body.
I know you’re likely not from a biomedical background, hence, the sciences are explained in simple language devoid of unwarranted scientific terminologies that could put you off-track. Yet, no over-simplification that could dumb down the essential details. Just the middle course.
A non-biological person will find the blog eye-opening while it serves as a good starting point for a biological field major who wants to find answers to the most intriguing questions about humans.
Enjoy. Gracias.
A Little About Me
I am Abdulqudus, a student scientist at the University of Ilorin where I study Medical Laboratory Science and build a research career under the mentorship of my professors.
As I’m fondly called SciPhil (“Science Philomath” for full), I find delight in general scientific discussions and a particular interest in biomedical sciences. Science is too rational and sweet to hate, anyway.
This forms my motivation to make the non-science population understand how things work in them in a simplified way, in a way that would help them appreciate their system better.
Outside the scientific environment, I do freelance writing and engage in volunteering activities.
I love reading science nonfiction, playing football and watching Cristiano Ronaldo’s clips. And yeah, I watch Magnus Carlsen too even though I know nothing about Chess.
Let’s be friends
